Electronic Home Detention (EHD)
We offer several variations of Electronic Home Detention (EHD) and Continuous Alcohol Monitoring (CAM).
Continuous Alcohol Monitoring (CAM)
SOMS uses the SCRAMx bracelet for Continuous Alcohol Monitoring (CAM). SCRAMx includes both House Arrest/Electronic Home Detention (EHD) and Alcohol Monitoring in the same bracelet.
SCRAM stands for Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring.
Electronic Home Detention (EHD) works by monitoring a continuous signal between the bracelet and a Base Station placed in the home and plugged in to a conventional phone line. Any disruption to this signal will create an alert.
The SCRAMx Bracelet weighs only 5.8 ounces. It includes a tamper-resistant "hot" strap that issues an alert for any attempt to remove the anklet.

BluTag can monitor the movements of enrollees in active, passive and hybrid GPS modes without changing equipment. BluTag is the only GPS monitoring device capable of detecting, recording and reporting the enrollee's deliberate shielding of the device's ability to receive GPS signals.

Radio Frequency (RF) Monitoring
BluHome interfaces with both BluTag and BluBand. It has the ability to call VeriTracks, our Internet-based monitoring application, using the analog/landline or digital phone service in the enrollee's home or nationwide cellular phone networks.
